What is Kinder screening?
Kinder screening is a brief, onsite assessment designed to support the early identification of speech and language needs in young children. We can visit the kindergarten or childcare centre to conduct individual speech and language screenings with children referred by educators or families.

What does the screening involve?
On an agreed date, our speech pathologist will visit the centre to complete individual screenings with participating children. Each session focuses on building a brief overview of each child's communication skills.

Each screening typically takes 15–20 minutes per child.
How much does it cost?
$40 per child.
The fee includes:
Discounted rates may be available for large group bookings.
What happens next?
Each family receives a short written summary outlining their child's screening results and any suggested next steps. Recommendations may include monitoring progress, trying specific strategies at home, or seeking further assessment if necessary.
Ongoing therapy may be available with the clinician who completed the screening, depending on availability and the child’s needs.
